Tv control app not working

I have recently moved property and since I’ve moved my Tv control app hasn’t worked. It says when I load the spot that I don’t have any compatible tv boxes. Have tried almost everything with no joy.

I am sorry to hear that you have had some issues with the TV control app. 

 

Are you able to let me know the following - 

 

  • The set top box you have -
  • The app version - 
  • The make and model of phone you currently are trying to access the app on -

Thank you for coming back to me @Mdr1840 

 

We are slowly fazing out the virgin media remote app because we are moving it over to the TVGO app. 

 

Please can you download the TVGO app and see if this works.

TV Control is still a valid app for the V6 boxes though.

It's the 360 boxes where you can use TV Go for everything.

I already have the tv go app, and it works fine, but if I want to record a certain programme on a certain day, will the tv go app allow me to do this??

Hi there @Mdr1840

 

We are sorry about any confusion caused - as @BenMcr advised the TV Control app is still a valid and working app for our TiVo and V6 boxes. The merged app is only for our 360Box users. 

 

You will still need to use the TVControl app to book any recordings or series links. 

 

I understand that you have moved home? When you moved, you would have had a new account and account number and as such, also a new MyVM account.  You'd need to log into both your TVGo and TVControl app using the new MyVM username and password. 

 

When you moved, did you take your boxes with you or did you have new ones installed? 

 

Pop back when you can and we'll help you out as much as we can.

Hi, 

When I moved, I’m sure i kept the same account number etc, and I also kept both of my boxes. 

I don’t know what else to say apart from it’s starting to annoy me.

When you move, you would have 100% received a new account number. The account number is registered to the property itself you see. 

 

If you're logging into your old account then this is why the boxes will not be showing as they are now registered with your new account.
