TV Go thinks TV 360 is offline?

DuncanCorps

Hrm... the last few days, trying to schedule a recording from TV Go on my phone doesn't work... I've checked the TV 360 and it's definitely on, set to "Fast start", able to access t'Internet, can do all the (few) things it can normally do...

Any ideas, people?

Try to connect to your TV 360 in the Virgin TV Go app then disconnecting to see if that frees things up.

I've had a few stabs at finding out how one does that in the app but haven't spotted anything. How does one connect to or disconnect from a TV 360?

That little icon thing is some sort of control, not just a cryptic indicator?!? I am surprised, I was looking all through the menus and things - never occured to me that function would be off on its own (over there) nor what it did...

Anyway, yes, that sorted it out. Still... kinda surprised that the app was saying "something mysterious has gone wrong and/or your TV 360 is off line" rather than "you need to tap the connect icon, which looks like I don't know what exactly, and I can't do it for you for some reason"... I wonder how come it worked before? I don't recall ever tapping that icon, never had a reason to...

That icon gives access to the remote control function of the Virgin TV Go app for TV 360 users.

Tapping the remote control icon, once connected, lets you control the TV 360, useful if your physical remote stops working.
