I have a V6 and a TIVO box
I can use the remote control feature of the TV Control app on my V6 box
However, when I try to use it on my TIVO box, it says "Home Network Required. The selected Virgin TV box was not found on the current network"
Note that all other aspects of the TV control app work except the info section
This is the case on both my IOS (ipad) and Android (Galaxy phone) devices
Can you help?
Do you have the TiVo box connected to your home network via an ethernet connection?
Whereas this is required for a V6 it is optional for a TiVo but is needed for the Connect app to contact it.

Thx for the reply. No, it isn't, so I guess that must be the issue. The box is only connected using a coax cable
Although, not being an expert, I'm wondering how the Guide and My Shows works, but the remote control doesn't?
Some functions are available via the coax connection with TiVo boxes, but the full functionality requires an ethernet connection to the box.
This can be achieved with powerline adapters if a direct connection to the VM Hub isn't practical.
