Hi
I've got Android Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet which granted isnt now new, but still very decent and software up to date.
I've tried to stream to it from my V6 box and it wont allow me to. I'm getting error code e=43 v=4
It appears that my device isnt compatible now, how can that be?
As always, any help would be appreciated.

Which Android version is your device running? That's what matters here, I've a feeling some older versions are only now supported for existing installs but are unavailable for new downloads. Also, is this same error happening on every attempted stream, or just particular ones? There are restrictions with programmes from certain broadcasters/channels.
The Android version should be listed under the settings menu.

You've certainly described the behaviour on an Android version that's too old to be installed fresh.
All you can therefore try, is to clear the app data & cache to effectively make it a fresh install. Under the apps menu, select TV Control and find the "clear data" & "clear cache" option. You could also try setting up the streaming device again, using the settings menu.

Many thanks but that hasn't made any difference.
I assume there is now other way to stream from my V6 without buying a new tablet?
Or, what android version do i need?
Thanks again

Hi @TheBoyGreen thanks for your message here although I'm sorry to hear of your concerns raised here
Can you advise which app you are trying to use, and which version of the App this is too?
Many thanks

Hi
Thank and yes its called Virgin TV Control and the version is 4.6.5-1395410
Really disappointed this won't work now as its good distraction from what the other half has on the 'live' TV!
Thanks

HI @TheBoyGreen
The latest android version of TV Control is 4.9.5-1443236 and it requires android 8.0 and up.
The version before that (4.8.2-1426713) was for android 7.1 and up
I'm afraid you've got the latest version for android 7 and up
I've checked https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ and I'm afraid there aren't any newer official android firmwares for your device.
There are unofficial updated roms on .xda-forums but using them would root your device meaning VM (and Sky) apps wouldn't be able run, but it may be worth thinking about if you have others apps that can't be downloaded or updated
