I’m having an issue with accessing Sky Sports via the TV GO app. I’ve entered my Virgin email address and password but received a message saying ‘An unknown error has occurred’. I’ve tried deleting the sky sports app and reloading but go the same error. Is anyone able to help?

Hi @Nicokamm 

You can't watch Sky Sports programs via TVGO.

You need to download and use the SkySports app directly and not via TVGO.

You sign in by clicking on the Virgin TV UK icon and entering your My Virgin Media username and password

If you need to manage your Sky Sports Devices then log into 

http://manage-virgintvgo.virginmedia.com/skydevices 

Make sure it's http and not https.

It's best to do this on either Edge or Firefox browsers as there is often an issue if using Chrome.

Any problems either try an incognito window or clear your browsing history

Hi @Nicokamm thanks for your post, although I'm sorry to hear you're unable to watch Sky Sports at the moment.

I have a "main" email I don't use for anything other than Virginmedia communications.

Then each family member has our own address.

Can I use my VM email address to login and watch Sky Sports on my phone as my missus uses her to watch Sky Movies on the Xbox ?

Hi @RDF 

You need to use the main account email that is used to sign into My Virgin Media

To watch Sky Movies you must use the TVGO app. The app isn't available for the Xbox.

Sounds paranoid I know, but I try and not use my main account for anything other than billing type emails and login.

Not a big problem to be honest, once we were both out the house wanting to watch different things, the other 400+ days since signing up we've been at home watching stuff 🤣

You would need to log in to the primary email address to use this. 

Can you confirm if you have managed to do this or are you still having issues?

Hi Chris,

I'm logging in and watching fine using the main account thanks, it was just a thought as the other day the two of us fancied watching something whilst away from the house. (First time since we rejoined VM last year) and when I saw this thread it made me wonder if it was an option.
