Sky Sports App Not Working

Hi there, 

When trying to watch any of my sky sports channels on the app I am greeted with the error message, 'Your subscription doesn't allow you to watch this programme. Please contact your provider' this is happening on all the channels which I can access on my TV.

Any help will be much appreciated,

Sorry to hear of the issue with the Sky Sports app but thanks for letting us know the error message you're getting.

Thanks for chatting with me via PM @Silman27, I'm glad that I was able to help resolve this issue for you.

For the benefit of the community and any others who may see this issue, the following steps helped to resolve it.

Restart Sky’s app
 

  • Open your Recent Apps menu and close Sky Sports.
  • Open the app, tap More > Log Out, then More > Log In > Sign In With Virgin Media TV.
  • Enter your My Virgin Media account details.

Restart your device
 

  • Switch your mobile, computer or tablet off and on again.
  • Open the Sky Sports app. Is the problem fixed?

Reinstall Sky’s app

I have had the same problem and troubleshooted using the methods above but still have no luck. I am always receiving the error message 'Your subscription doesn't allow you to watch this programme. Please contact your provider.' I am not sure what to do so please do not hesitate to contact me.
