I am at a loss as to how to replace a device, what on earth do I put in this box?
then I get this message

The box is where you put the name of the device which is replacing the one you have chosen to have replaced.
It’s the device you are currently running the app on, I would think.

Can I delete them or do the just sit there till replaced?
They’ll just stay there until replaced.

Why can't you just delete the unnecessary and unused devices?
