Yesterday I could not use my two registered devices to watch sky sports.
Message read Maximum users reached. At the time, there was only one device in use.
When the one working was switched off, the other one worked.
Why is this happening??

You should can have up to two devices registered, with one change each month.
Can you confirm which devices you're using to access the apps?
