I have exactly the same problem as Bluenose62
Previously watched the app no problem.
I noticed it over the last 2 or 3 days. I do have a VPN but always have it switched off when using the app.
I can watch virgin tv app no problem.

For clarity, can you explain specifically the problems you're having with the Sky app?

I am unable to view any Live TV on the Sky Sports app while logged in with my Virgin details. I notice this tarted 3 or 4 days ago the message shown is
A problem was encountered please try again later
I notice this may be a common issue
Something must have changed on Norton
Previously I always just turned my VPN off to view the Sky sports app
Today I have also turned off Web Protection which I have never done before and can now watch Live TV on the Sky Sports app.

I'm very sorry to hear about the issue you had with this.
From what you have advised it does sound as though they have updated which now blocks the app.
I'm glad to hear you have found a work around for it.
