Hello,

Looking for some info please. For several weeks now, we have had a issue with the sound on BBC1 and occasionally some other channels. People can be talking, and it goes silent for anything between 1 and 3 seconds, then it returns. It doesn't matter what type of programme we are watching, it could be a pre-recorded or a live programme, sometimes once or twice a day, sometimes up to 10 times a day. It's really spoiling our tv viewing. If anyone has any ideas, we would really appreciate it, thanks

A loose or faulty HDMI cable is a possible cause.

HI traceychris, thanks for posting and welcome back to our community.

Sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your sound on BBC1.  I would like to take a closer look on your behalf.  I am going to send you a private message.  However, could you also confirm this sound issue is with all our versions of BBC1?  For example, if you select channels 861-864, as per here, are there the same sound issues?
