Disconnected V6 box - will TV Go still work?

Hi all,

Long story short, we need to unplug our v6 box from it's normal connection for a few weeks due to having some work done in the house.

I can plug the box in elsewhere but it won't have the cable wire connection for a few weeks.

Will my access to Virgin TV Go on my mobile/laptop still work during this time?

Many thanks in advance.

Re: Disconnected V6 box - will TV Go still work?

Hi rmanx17,

Welcome to the Community Forums! Many apologies for our delayed response.

Yes you'll be able to use your TV GO service without any problems, regardless or whether your V6/Tivo is plugged in or not. 🙂

Hope all the work on the house goes well and do let us know if we can help with anything else.

Kind regards,

Beth

Re: Disconnected V6 box - will TV Go still work?

Disconnecting the coax cable will mean your V6 has no live TV channels for the duration - so watch out for recordings to fail with no-signal type errors.

If you can keep the box connected to the internet via your homehub, it will at least keep the EPG (TV Guide) updated, and at least you can stream your existing recordings using "TV Control"
