Can you setup a 2nd user for TV go ?.

Hi,

My son has a VM email setup running off our main VM account.

Can i setup him up on TV go also ?. Ive tried registering a new user with his VM account but when clicking "Finish" absolutely nothing happens.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Can you setup a 2nd user for TV go ?.

Hi paul_taylor,

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you've been having some difficulties getting things set up.

I'm afraid that only the Primary account can be used to sign in to Virgin TV Go.

If you're worried about the content then you can set up Parental Controls. Parental Control on Virgin TV Go

If you have any other questions, pop back and let us know.

Thanks,

Well that seems completely pointless.

So i can set parental controls. But i have to give him my password to my master VM account. And then he can change all the settings to what ever he wants. Yes very clever Virginmedia. As every week goes on, the more and more i want to move back to Sky.

Did this ever get resolved as it seems odd that only the account holder can use TV go and not the rest of the family?

Re: Can you setup a 2nd user for TV go ?.

Well that's bloody stupid. What's the point of setting up parental controls on the main account and then giving the password for that account to the child?! All they're going to do is remove the controls!

Is there anyone working at VM with any common sense?

Reinstate the previous app that allowed a single device to be used on sub accounts.! That way a child sub account can be restricted without inhibiting adult usage.

Oh and mirror Sky who allow 6 devices with any 2 in use at once, rather than just 4 devices. Once again Sky leave VM in the Dark Ages.
