Websafe settings won't save.

I have just had VM broadband installed. It looks like my websafe setting is switched to off. When I try to switch it on I get the message:

Sorry the changes you made were not saved, please try again.

It's the same for virus safe and child safe. I did try to access a restricted site over the WIFI and got an error message so I'm not sure if it's on or not but I don't have the option to choose at present.

It's the same in incognito and on other devices connected to the same WIFI.

By default Web Safe blocks access to VPN sites so not being able to access http://nordvpn.com is a good indication of it being on.

When signed go to https://my.virginmedia.com/my-apps/onlinesecurity/websafe/settings Do you see something similar to the following and are settings saved?

So when I try and toggle the switches they just go back to the position on the screenshot and I get that error message.

Try making the change via the old UI  shown previously by going to https://my.virginmedia.com/my-apps/onlinesecurity/websafe/settings Should this fail to work then post back here to have issue flagged to the forum team.

Hi @cheesemaker6, thanks for posting and welcome back to our community.

Sorry to hear you've been unable to activate your Websafe.  Have you had chance to follow the advice of 用心棒 ?  If so, how have things gone?  I can also see you're liaising with my colleague, David.  If you need the help of the forum staff, I will leave you in his very capable hands.

Regards

Hi. Following the above link still takes me to the new GUI. David says Websafe is on at his end but I still don't have the option to toggle it on or off via the app or website.

I have exactly the same issue. I've been trying for 2 days to switch on the Child Safe settings. All the videos/online instructions make it look so simple. I've tried on my laptop, iPad and iPhone. I've tried following the link in one of the posts above but still no success.

FWIW when using the Web Safe Settings link to the old site's page you must already be signed in otherwise it will show the new site's page — NB only works when using a desktop or laptop AFAIK

Why doesn't the new one work?! Why do they have a webpage that for changing the web safe and child safe settings that doesn't work. I've wasted hours trying to do this and can't find anything anywhere that is remotely helpful.

I am signed in to My Virgin Media and it still doesn't work.
