I am not using this over a VPN. I don't know what the DNS settings are. I haven't changed any DNS settings (wouldn't know how to). This has just started happening and was fine a week or two ago.

This ongoing issue has been flagged to the forum team who are best placed to advise further; be aware it can take them a few hours / days to respond. In the meantime try manually going to https://my.virginmedia.com/my-apps/onlinesecurity/websafe/settings, once signed in, to manage Web Safe.

Can I please ask why you're changing the settings to on and off continually? For now I would advise against doing this. Either keep them on or leave them off depending on your preference. This is just until things are resolved.
I've updated the IT Ticket we raised with the updated information but as before, there is no estimated fix for this.
Once I have an update - I will come back to you.
