We have been putting timed mac address blocks on my brother's pc and phone for a while but he's recently worked out how to use mac spoofing to get around it meaning that hes staying up until the early hours of the morning.
He's very tech smart and I could spend all night refreshing and reblocking him with each new mac address which hes capable of doing within a matter of seconds.
I've read that the only real way to get around this is to create a set list of approved mac addresses so that only those that have been accepted are able to connect, but I cant seem to work out how to do this on the hub settings.
I should add that he's connected via ethernet with his pc so changing passwords unfortunately wont work!
I am afraid that the MAC filtering that is on the hub only allows blocking of individual MAC address, there is no allowed list on the hub 3 it only works by blocking I am afraid. The only way around this would be to buy and external router and use the hub in modem only mode, alternatively turn the hub off at night !
