You should get a text when it is up and running, to speed it up dial 150 from your virgin phone and it my be activated quicker.

I have been told they are not receiving a signal at Virgin media so it looks like I have a faulty box . So much for self install , I now have an engineer coming out , Bloody fantastic , and what a joke .

EDIT - deleted reply after seeing OP's original posts as you can't reset a Stream box if it hasn't been activated

Just incase the same thing is happening as what happened to me.
All I was getting was the welcome screen for a few seconds then the screen went black and nothing else. I then turned my TV off and on again and up it came.
