New Stream Service, queries regarding package deal?

im currently on live chat i have broadband 1gig but no tv service, i only watch sky sports and netlfix and i have been offered this::

BB Solus Bundle
BB Solus Bundle
Gig1 Fibre Broadband
Stream Box
Stream from Virgin Media
30 day Contract Term for 62 pounds a month

i am paying that for 1gig alone and the agent is adamant this also includes the sky sports bundle in the deal offered above, it sounds too cheap to me or am i missing something? any responses would be awesome before i commit.

Many Thanks

Re: does this sound right as it sounds too cheap?

Hi @Geeka

It doesn't sound right to me, however the Stream box won't be available as part of package for customers until tomorrow.

It's only just been promoted to the press today.

Sky Sports is an additional subscription add on  priced at £38.75 a month - details on pricing on the following pdf link

Re: does this sound right as it sounds too cheap?

Hi @Geeka

I wouldn't do anything for now. I've flagged this to the mods to have a look.

According my working out you would have to pay £62 for your 1 gig plus the £38.75 for the Sky Sports HD.

I hope I'm wrong and that it is a new retention deal, but even if it is, it still shouldn't be available until tomorrow

EDIT-

The screenshot in my other post shows the channels available on the Stream box for free (left hand column) which are most of the usual Freeview channels plus a few extras.

Unless I have misunderstood - Stream actually works out more expensive for less content than if you were to take out a combined TV, Broadband, Phone deal as per my post here :

Re: does this sound right as it sounds too cheap?

Stream isn’t designed for those that want everything; it’s about giving customers the choice and flexibility.

The £80 bundle you mentioned comes with an 18 month contract and a higher ongoing price when that contract ends. There aren’t any contracts (30 rolling on Stream and all entertainment subscriptions) or initial discounts with Stream so if you value flexibility  and being able to pick and choose what you want month by month Stream is the product for you.

As I’ve said elsewhere, they are two distinct entertainment propositions, and we hope between them we cater to all needs!
