I already have the essential entertainment for £12 a month. How do I benefit from the £8 offer displayed on the home screen of my stream box please? I tried to cancel it on the stream box but requires 30 days before I can add it back again. Virgin CS were no help at all when I phoned them and understand offer ends 31st March! Thanks, Graham

So I was in this situation. VM told me to give 30 days notice then re-subscribe to the package again. They wouldn't do anything their end and said the system won't put it down to £8/month automatically (which is sharp practice in my book).
You can take the package out and 30 mins later cancel it , and it will be classed as 30 days notice - this is how I manage mine each month on a month by month basis. There is no additional 30 days notice period as I cancel it on the day I activate it, and of course doesn't actually disable the channels until the 30 days later if I don't then renew it 🙂
I do mine by the UPGRADES app on the Stream as My Virgin Media always states the original pricing. I always wait for the clock timer graphic to say completed before navigating away too. The email will come through after buying, and the prices will be wrong and the web site will be wrong. Come the actual bill, and mine is usually correct.

Thanks Unisoft, I agree very sharp practice on behalf of VM. Can a MOD on this forum maybe comment on why I can't take advantage of an offer that was displayed on the homepage of my stream box? Surely this should be automatically applied to those accounts paying £12 per month? There has been silence from VM so far which says it all. Anyway the 30 days cancellation has already been activated and counting down and will stay cancelled if the offer is not there once the cancellation completes.

Unless they change the pricing (which I understand is an offer for 18 months) then when it ends you should see the £8 option in the Stream Upgrades app.

Thanks, my 31 days cancellation period now ended and I have successfully signed up to the £8 a month plan for 18 months 😀 Not sure why the confirmation email says £12 a month though as the screen I clicked on (which I took photo of) definitely said £8??
