very slow upload last 24 hours

hi, 

for the last 24 hours i have had a very low almost non existent upload speed, my download speed is fine no problems there.

i wondered if i could get some help, i have called up support to be told to wait 48 hours...

looking for a little help here, my kids are unable to do any online gaming video calling etc - fortunately its the weekend now my wife and i don't have to work but on monday things are going to get messy!
