packet loss/Random slow speeds

Hello,

 

I have recently upgraded to 500mb package. Nearly two weeks in and not once has speed gone above 250mb. When watching something live or playing a game i get really bad slow connection/ packet drop. Happens all the time throughout the day. Even streaming youtube is really strange as it has to go low resolution till my internet picks up speed to high res. Im really disappointed with such an expensive upgrade not working. Also my my new max tv has 0 channels as well....not the start i was hoping. My wifi connection throughout the house is actually shocking to the point we use our 4g's now

Just did fast.com speed test and it shows 55mb and other speed websites same, but speedtest.net says 250mb

Is that with wired or wifi connections?

Can you post your Hub status and logs?
Someone should be spot if there is a problem
Navigate to http://192.168.0.1 (or http://192.168.100.1 - if in modem mode)
Don't log in!
Click on 'router status'
Copy/paste the data from each of the tabs. The forum software will remove the MAC addresses for you (you may need to click the 'post' button again).

Also, set up a 'Broadband Quality Monitor'. This will monitor the state of your connection and record any network dropouts etc - You can do this at ThinkBroadband (https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality)
Give it a while to gather data and then click 'Share Live graph' and paste the 'Direct Link' into the forum!

Hey @Blarix2018,

 

Thanks for posting your issues on our forum pages, I have been able to look into your account and one of the settings on your 5ghz connection wasn't correct, this has now been changed, please can you let me know if this helps with your connection speed at all.

 

Also the system shows that you haven't got channel optimisation active, have you disabled this yourself ?

Upstream is also at max on 2 channels which coincidentally have T3 timeous on them too - this could also be causing issues!
