So I just installed my Asus gt-ac5300 and noticed much slower speedsprior to using this router, i was getting 950Mb download speed now I'm lucky if I get over 550mb down anyone help me narrow down the issue? cable is currently cat 6 and will be upgraded to cat 7 tomorrow any ideas??
Does your router have any QOS enabled, try disabling things like that

SNB reviews suggests this router only has a WAN throughput of approx. 700mb? So any QOS or NAT acceleration might have a big performance hit.
Cat 6 cable is fine, it's rated to 1GB.
