Wrong Upload Speed

Hello Community,

I just noticed that with a M200 contract I should have 20mbps. We got the speed upgrade from a M100 package and I always had 5mbps upload, but with working from home this is a bit thin. Looking at the speed table https://www.virginmedia.com/shop/broadband/speeds I should have 20mbps.

Has anybody here had the same experience?

Best regards!

Re: Wrong Upload Speed

Can you please

Type 192.168.0.1 (192.168.100.1 in Modem mode) into your browser URL bar and press enter.

Hub 2 & 3 When the page appears DO NOT LOG IN but click ‘Check Router Status’.

Hub 4 When the page appears LOG IN then click ‘Check Router Status’.

Copy and paste the contents of the Configuration tab onto here, if you get a yellow warning click the Post button again.  Please do not use screen grabs.

Re: Wrong Upload Speed

Your Hub is set at the correct speeds.

How are you speed testing Wi-Fi or ethernet cable connected device ?

Re: Wrong Upload Speed

Hi Mike,

your confirmation that Hub has correct settings made me think and I remembered there was a max upload/max download setting in my FritzBox that was still set to the original upload of 5mbps. I upped that limit to 25 and now I have the full 20mbps upload.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Best regards!

Re: Wrong Upload Speed

Your QoS limit will not work with it set to 25 as the FritzBox will just be going not hit the limit, not hit the limit...and the hub will buffer all your packets into a single queue so set it to 19.

Re: Wrong Upload Speed

Hi Alessandro,

the 25 was more for testing purposes to check maximum upload speed. I have set it now to 19 going forward. Thanks for your advise.

Best regards!
