Wifi speeds shockingly slow on superhub3

Hi all,

Our internet is like a yoyo, with speeds of over 200mb one moment and then down below 6mb the next. It's incredibly frustrating and certainly not the service we're paying for.

I'll post the logs below, but any ideas on how to get a consistent signal would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Wifi speeds shockingly slow on superhub3

Thanks for the reply.

I'm testing on my iPhone via the speed test app, plus on my Mac with Google and Speedtest website.

Re: Wifi speeds shockingly slow on superhub3

You need to run a wired Speedtest to ascertain the issue is not with the speed coming to your property.

If that checks out ok then you need to look at ways of optimising your wifi - a mesh system, better router, wired AP’s etc.

Re: Wifi speeds shockingly slow on superhub3

Thanks, I'll give the wired test a go. I've assumed that as I sometimes get the full speed that it's coming into the property OK.

Buying additional kit to fix something that I'm already paying for seems strange to me.

Re: Wifi speeds shockingly slow on superhub3

You don’t pay for wifi. You pay for the connection.

If the wifi doesn’t work in your property due to range etc. you need to optimise and fix it.

Re: Wifi speeds shockingly slow on superhub3

Ah, ok. I'm sitting right next across from the wifi hub (same room), so not sure range is the issue!

I need to order various connectors for a wired test. Will come back as soon as Amazon sort me out 🙂
