WiFi speeds super slow on desktop

HI,

I have been using a WiFi connection to my desktop pc now for around 3 years, same length as my virgin broadband contract. For some reason it’s not only slowed down to around 10-500kbs downloading but the webpages are insanely slow! I got a new pc around 7 months ago so it’s not that. I can’t realistically move the router closer to the pc due to where it is but I’ve never had much of an issue until now using WIFI and all my other devices work fine.

can anyone think why my downloads have suddenly gone from a consistent 1.5-2mbs to 10-500kbs? I’ve looked all over and tried all sorts but nothing!

Thanks for any help

Re: WiFi speeds super slow on desktop

wifi can change at any time depending on external factors.

You really need to test with a wired connection to know if its the internet or the wifi

If you can't use a cable long turn try something like powerlines
