Re: Why is my boardband speeds so bad

log into hub3 - 192.168.0.1 [or 192.168.100.1 if in modem mode] - DON'T SIGN IN, click - click router status [centre of screen] - and post the downstream and upstream figures - to see those press on the grey buttons/boxes labeled - upstream - downstream

if its an earlier hub button is top right

also is the speed bad wired or wifi - you must test wired for any speed test

Re: Why is my boardband speeds so bad

Your didn't answer the question

also is the speed bad wired or wifi - you must test wired for any speed test

but from the tests it appears the problem is not with the broadband but with your internal WiFi.

You can confirm this by doing the speed test with a device wired to the Hub.

There are several help posts on this forum that should help you to improve the WiFi.  Look for the "WiFi Wins"

Re: Why is my boardband speeds so bad

I understand what you are saying but this is the second router that comes up with this error. I have two boosters running both frequencies. This is not the problem. The problem is that the router just drops its connecting. everytime it drops i phone virgin. it says you have problems with your router and we need to restart it.then it works for a day. This is not a service i signed up for and no one does anything to fix it.

A second Router has not fixed the problem so how about testing with a decent cable directly to the hub, the results will help with further investigations.

If you insist it is a VM problem they will ask for evdence and what John Brennand has asked fo is what VM will ask for.

You can if you wish demand an engineer visit but if the problem is as suspected an internal one you can also expect a large bill from VM.

Re: Why is my boardband speeds so bad

I will try it. I have had an engineer out. They couldn’t work it out and in the end found out from someone that it was an external problem but nothing has been done
