Re: When will my speed be updated

Hi Robbo. I upgraded from 100 to 350 on Saturday and my speed has actually plummeted !!!! I have messaged a complaint to VM (3 days ago) and am awaiting a reply. I am considering cancelling the upgrade within the 14 day cooling off period if I don't hear anything soon.

Re: When will my speed be updated

Speed upgrades can take up to 48hrs before they come through

rebooting your Hub can sometimes force them to come through quicker

or on running the broadband test in myvirginmedia a new config might

then come through.

Re: When will my speed be updated

Thanks Buffers for the suggestion. I tried the reboot and also a pin hole reset. Neither worked.

When I agreed to the upgrade I checked my speed at 107.66mbps. It is now averaging 48.80mbps - it makes no logical sense. I hope I get a response to my complaint before my 14 day cooling off period expires.

Robbo - did your speed eventually improve ???

Wired or WiFi speed tests?  Only wired to the Hub is used by VM for troubleshooting.

Also post your logs, power levels and configuration from the Hub for comment here.   A TBB monitor here will also help in diagnostics  www.thinkbroadband.com/ping

Re: When will my speed be updated

Thanks Adduxi. All my tests have been using Ookla and with a cabled connection. Here is the latest test a few minutes ago:

I will have a look at the link you attached. Thanks again.

Re: When will my speed be updated

Type 192.168.0.1 (192.168.100.1 in Modem mode) into your browser URL bar and press enter.

Hub 3 When the page appears DO NOT LOG IN but click ‘Check Router Status’.

Hub 4 When the page appears LOG IN then click ‘Check Router Status’.

Copy and paste the contents of the Configuration tab onto here, if you get a yellow warning click the Post button again. Please do not use screen grabs.

Re: When will my speed be updated

Hi Mike. I really appreciate you trying to help.

When I enter the site I selected language and then the only option is a window to log in. There is no option to check router status (or anything else).

I entered the password and got this page:

Welcome
Quick Set-Up Wizards
Configure your Wi-Fi network
Network diagnostic tool
Modify your Guest network
Hub 3.0 status overview
Your Hub 3.0 status

 Wireless(On (2.4 and 5 GHz))
 Internet(Online)
 Telephony(Disabled)

No obvious place to 'check router status' without clicking on one of the tabs which scares the life out of me !!!!!
