What does US profile assignment change mean ?

Hi all 

Ever since I had a new upload channel added on Tuesday I need getting these notices every few hours , I dunno if this effect my connection ?   NEver had this profile switching before. 

Just wondering what this mean

OFDMA supports much higher modulation than 64-QAM. It tries to push the system for maximum throughput. The modem is assigned two additional profiles, 11 and 12, but it seems that 11 is borderline, so it must switch to 12 now and then to avoid packet loss.

Hi, I have also been getting snozski log entry every hour interspersed with the following

For the last 30 hours or so, I have also noticed that "Maximum Number of CPEs" 3" have increased from 1 to 3 and that "Telephony(Ready)" is showing in the Hub Status page, not that VM has advised me it is time to plug converter in. CPEs would appear to mean Customer Premise Equipment, but what is the log issue.

 

 

 

Hey Osram, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry you are having some connection issues.

Have you recently added a landline phone to your router by any chance? 

If so, this is why your maximum number of CPEs have increased. Thanks

I had worked that out when I found no landline, unfortunately I don't now how long the phone was out of commission for as VM never advised as when to plug in the adapter in. so much for "we will let you know when to start using the adapter" I would probable still not be aware if I hadn't been poking about in the logs.

Your thoughts on the log entry? this was what I was interested in, the rest was just history.

Resurrecting this thread from a few months back as I have exactly the same question.

Been noticing the ID on one channel changing back and forth since my last router reboot, so wondering what that means and why it keeps switching back and forth, at times in the space of minutes.

Can anyone help me understand?

Read the message number 2 from @gitty 

Basically the Hub will change profile to maintain a good signal lock as and when needed.

No wouldn't say any problems, but as I had an SNR issue (now largely resolved) I have been looking at stats more frequently.

I notice a few post rns errors on channel 2 in downstream notwithstanding good SNR, but upload looks pristine. 

Router was last rebooted three days ago.
