Vivid 350 in birmingham hitting 90mb max

Connected last tuesday (29/01/19) hitting 340mb all night, since then cant get over 90mb, ethernet connection, running all sorts of speedtests on various networks, still same. If i log into router it says i have issues and need to move my device closer, i am 3ft away on ethernet??...service status on my account page runs test and says no issues detected!

Re: Vivid 350 in birmingham hitting 90mb max

90mb is the speed i'd expect to see using a 100mbps network card.

Make sure you have a gigbit connection. try another network cable and connect to the hub directly without any switches, powerlines or devices in the middle.

Re: Vivid 350 in birmingham hitting 90mb max

I have a 1GB connection set at 1GB speed, using the brand new ethernet that came in the box, directly connected, no switches or hubs, etc...tried on wifi with my AC modem too, im using www.speedtest.net run about 30 times and only 2 results over 90mb and they only hit 160-180mb....using Asus Rog G751JY laptop so there are no issues with laptop, works fine on parents connection....

Re: Vivid 350 in birmingham hitting 90mb max

The laptop is permanantly plugged into the mains, its basically a replacement desktop as its 18" and weighs a tonne!!!...as i said it worked the first day of install fine at 340mb...so i know all the gear can cope and is set up properly...trying again today...im getting anywhere from 60 to 320, so there is clearly a stability issue with the supply....

To check the local circuit, posting some basic diagnostic info may help.

Navigate to the hub's GUI using http://192.168.0.1
Don't log in, click the Router Status button
Copy \ Paste the Downstream, Upstream, and Network Logs.

Don't worry about the formatting, but do obscure personal information like your WAN IP address.

As griffin says... but also... Check all your coax connections are in nice and "finger" tight at the Hub and wall box and at any splitters/attenuators/etc and that the internal wiring is ok with no kinking or chaffing (rabbit chews!). Also check that all looks good with the outside cabling and wall box.
