Vivid 200 upload increase?

Hi,

I read a while back, that Virgin were increasing some uploads, aiming for a 10:1 D/U ratio.

My 200Mbps service still seems capped at 12Mbps up, and was wondering if there is any more concrete info on if this increase is still happening for all users, and when?

Cheers

Not strictly true Mike - its the official VM party line I know but I have a SH2 and get >200/20 no probs.  But.. I was upgraded months ago - maybe they have just stopped upping it for those without Hub3's.

Hello

When it upped locally I had to upgrade to the Hub 3, then when I noticed it.

Re: Vivid 200 upload increase?

I've got a hub 3 already.

Is this going to need a call to support?

Re: Vivid 200 upload increase?

First job is as Mike suggested - post up the data in your Configuration file in the Hub settings.
That will show whether it has been provisioned for 10 or 20 up.
If 10 then you definitely need to call in and get them to send a new, correct, congfig file to the Hub.

Re: Vivid 200 upload increase?

VM do not cap speeds - if you are getting 12 up then that suggests the config is correct as the old upload was 10 so you are better than that so it would look as though there is a problem

as asked post the levels from the hub - will do no harm to post the config settins just to confirm the hub is set to 20 up - strange things have happened in the past so thats the first check

Re: Vivid 200 upload increase?

Well the configuration file says 230 down and 22 up so you've got the right config file so somethings odd if you're still only getting 12 up. Have you tried simply rebooting the hub to see if that will kick-start the new config?

Re: Vivid 200 upload increase?

Pretty sure it has been rebooted since I learned of the speed boost, but will certainly give it another go!

Will feed back if any change, otherwise will give support a call.

Many thanks
