Red (VM SH2 AC Beta tester)
Running on 500Mb VM service with SH3 in Modem Mode, with a ASUS RT-AC5300 router. With this setup I get Fantastic WIRED and WIRELESS Signals in my home. I dont work for VM. But I work in IT, and I know my tech.
My advice is at your own risk. If you are happy with my answers please press Kudo ?

Re: Virgin Media outage (UK)

Thanks for the info. Main page of the VM website of course says nothing, and the service status page on same says "Oops something's broken" (with the website, *not* with the service). Really, no sh*t, Sherlocks.

Re: Virgin Media outage (UK)

Bromborough, Wirral server. Its been a bit glitchy all afternoon. Went off completely at about 6pm for around 15 minutes. Back on now with speed test of

13 Ping, 219 Down, 21 Up. so all good.

I'm currently working from home so hope there isn't a repeat tomorrow!

Re: Virgin Media outage (UK)

Seemingly some gremlins running around the network, had two small outages here but all back up and running.

Seemingly a DNS related issue.

Monitoring on my connection noticed outages on my connection, the local virgin network and the birmingham core too.

Re: Virgin Media outage (UK)

Looks like its much wider.

BT reporting the same so is Sky but that is expected as they use the BT network

Re: Virgin Media outage (UK)

Was playing a game with friends (I am in Lincoln, they are in London), who are all on VM and it dropped for all of use.
Can't be DNS as I use Google and friends use NTL DNS servers.

Re: Virgin Media outage (UK)

 back my mention of DNS...

Issue is beyond that as its affecting devices covered under CF DNS.
