Virgin Media Broadband Upgrade

Just upgraded my WiFi from the M200 to the M500 - How long should it take to be reaching the minimum speed?

Thankyou,

molly

Re: Virgin Media Broadband Upgrade

Has the upgrade been sent to the Hub 3 ?

To check type 192.168.0.1 (192.168.100.1 in Modem mode) into your browser URL bar and press enter.

When the page appears DO NOT LOG IN but click ‘Check Router Status’.

Copy and paste the contents of the Configuration tab onto here, if you get a yellow warning click the Post button again.

Your speed upgrade has been sent to the Hub.

Can you carry out a couple of speed tests at speedtest.net using a direct connection using a Cat 5E/6 cable between the Hub and a 1Gbs capable Pc/Mac/Chromebook and no other devices connected.

Ensure that the Network Interface Card (NIC) drivers are up to date.

Then post the links to the results on here.

Are you doing speed tests on a wireless device?

Are you aware that the majority of wireless devices, especially phones, will not be capable of 500Mbps.

Re: Virgin Media Broadband Upgrade

Yes I was doing the speed tests on my phone. However, I will be attaching an Ethernet to my Pc soon as I’m working from home... will I receive them speeds if connected through Ethernet?
