Very poor speeds over past week

Hello, I've been getting pretty terrible internet speeds all week. Speedtest and Fast.com regularly showing <10mbps when I am meant to be on a 200M connection.

Have tried resetting router, checked coax cables are fastened.

I do use powerline ethernet adaptors for my main PC but have usually seen at least 90mbps through those so definitely getting much lower speed than expected.

Power and noise levels look OK, but the post-RS (uncorrected) error count is high on all channels.  I'll flag that for the forum staff to advise, as there's nothing you can do to resolve that beyond the checks you've already made.

Hi elstevo,

 

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. My apologies for the broadband issues.

 

Our system has identified a short term network issue that could cause degradation or an intermittent service. 

 

We believe it will only be a short term issue and it will be fixed very soon.

 

In the mean time, please could check that the coax cables are connected securely to the Virgin Media equipment, any splitters (standard and powered) and to the wall socket.
