Upstream channel modulation keeps changing after local outage

Thats it really, had an outage in WD3 today and apparently fixed by 15:00; this was the status at 17:55

Upstream bonded channels

Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) Symbol Rate (ksps) Modulation Channel ID

16030000047.3512064 qam1
25370000047.8512064 qam2
34619990347.5512016 qam3
43940000047.3512064 qam4

This is what it is at 18:00

Upstream bonded channels

Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) Symbol Rate (ksps) Modulation Channel ID

16030000047.3512032 qam1
25370000047.8512032 qam2
34620000047.3512032 qam3
43940000047.3512032 qam4

and this now

Upstream bonded channels

Channel Frequency (Hz) Power (dBmV) Symbol Rate (ksps) Modulation Channel ID

16030000046.3512032 qam1
25370000046.5512032 qam2
34620000047.3512016 qam3
43940000047.3512064 qam4

should i just monitor it and see if it settles down?

regards

Can you also post your network logs, and blank out any public IP address.

Re: Upstream channel modulation keeps changing after local outage

You are getting timeouts because your modem is failing to keep a network lock. In some cases the problem is in the home, so power off your hub, check that all connections between the hub and wall socket are tight and power on again.

Re: Upstream channel modulation keeps changing after local outage

Hi

it behaved itself overnight and channels remain at 64 qam, the cable to the back of the modem needed a good tightening.

Re: Upstream channel modulation keeps changing after local outage

Hi ic2

Thanks for posting. My apologies for the broadband issues.

I've ran a system check and can see your downstream channels are out of spec.

This needs a tech to attend the property so will PM you now to assist

Kind regards,
