Upload speed very slow 10% of plan speed

Hello, forgive my being a newbie - I have the hub 3 - and usually the speed of the broadband is okay - however today the upload speed is showing at 0.9 mb.  The website testing the equipment doesn't show a problem and no one is answering the customer telephone number.  I have logged into the hub and it is showing the following issues;

SYNC Timing Synchronization failure - Loss of Sync

No Ranging Response received

I have tried resetting the hub but hey ho that would not be the solution - can anyone from Virgin Media please read this and help please.  Thanks

Re: Upload speed very slow 10% of plan speed

If possible can you set up a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com - this will give you an insight into what is happening with the signal at the other side of the Hub, it will take a few hours to get any kind of trend showing although you should post the link straight away.

Post a 'Live Link' to your BQM on here.

Instructions for posting BQM Link

Under your BQM graph are two links in red.

Click the lower link (Share Live Graph) then click generate.

Copy the text in the Direct Link box, beware, there may be more text than you can see.

On here click the Link icon (2 links chain to the left of the camera icon)

In the URL box paste the link you copied and in the ‘text to display’ box write My BQM then click OK - you can post the link straight away.

Re: Upload speed very slow 10% of plan speed

Can you please

Type 192.168.0.1 (192.168.100.1 in Modem mode) into your browser URL bar and press enter.

Hub 2 & 3 When the page appears DO NOT LOG IN but click ‘Check Router Status’.

Hub 4 When the page appears LOG IN then Advanced Settings > Tools > Network Status.

Copy and paste the contents of the Downstream, Upstream, Configuration and Network Log tabs onto here, if you get a yellow / straw box warning click the Post button again. Use one post for each tab if you wish.

Please do not use screen grabs.

A Guru will be along soon to decipher the info.

Re: Upload speed very slow 10% of plan speed

Your Network Log is terrible.

You have lots of Pre & Post RS Errors.

Your Upstream Modulations are too low on 3 of the Channels, they should all be at 64 QAM.

Your Pre & Post RS Error counts are very high.

In an ideal world they would be at zero and stay there. To zero them can you reboot the Hub using this method and then keep an eye on the counts.

Switch the Hub off using the small switch on the rear of the Hub next to the power cord and pull the PSU plug from the wall socket.

Give it a good 5 minutes put the plug back in and switch the Hub back on.

Allow the Hub a few minutes to fully restart then check the counts again in an hour or so.

Can you post a Live Link to the BQM please.

Re: Upload speed very slow 10% of plan speed

Tried the power off of the router and waited for about 10 mins.  ran a speed test on a wired connection with 158 mb download and 0.9 mb upload. Still getting critical sync issues with the router.
