Upload speed isn't what I'm paying for.

I really need to sort out my upload speed as I need a good connection for my work.

I'm paying for the M200 package, which is 200mbs down and 20mbps up. There is no issue with my download speed at all - I consistently get over 200mbs.

My upload speed is incredibly inconsistent, though. It's often teetering between 1mbps and 3 mbps. As I'm expected to upload larger files for work, I need it to be at the speed I'm paying for.

Can I please get some help with this?

Re: Upload speed isn't what I'm paying for.

Is there a better place to get in contact with Virgin Media about upload speeds?

Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to get in contact with them.

Obviously it would be brilliant if there was a moderator or someone who could help.

If you don't want any help from the community and just want VM help then wait here till they reply (it's not a hotline though) - or call it in - they are still picking up.

Re: Upload speed isn't what I'm paying for.

Hi Caab24,

Thanks for posting. I am sorry for the lower than usual upload speeds. From checking the systems, there is a congestion issue affecting the service and the current estimated fix date is the 3rd June 2020. The fault reference is F008079271 for your records.

Kind regards,

Re: Upload speed isn't what I'm paying for.

Hi John,

Thanks for replying. I'm just wondering if there is any update on a fix date as we're a few days past the 8th and it's still causing issues.

Any update would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Upload speed isn't what I'm paying for.

Hi Caab24,

This fault is a bit more complex than we first imagined it to be.

We have had to extend the fix date until the 15th June

It is still under reference number F008079271

It is still the same date as what was advised when you called us sorry

Re: Upload speed isn't what I'm paying for.

Thank you for your reply, Gareth.

And thank you for updating me on the status of the fault.

I'm just curious as to why my account says there are no known issues in my area.

Thanks
