Upload speed and gaming issues and packet loss in the evening

My connection has not been running great the past week in the evenings, when gaming or trying to upload any files regardless of location (maybe a connection between the 2 at a guess)

At first I thought it was just gaming for the first few days, but when trying to upload anything in the evening my upload speed drops to 1.5MB, during the day it is 4.5MB

My voice chat is also lagging on Xbox and Discord.
I have also noticed bits of packet loss during this time, if you look at the graph at the bottom it started just after 8pm till 10pm, during this time I was gaming. The hump after 5pm was me uploading which started at 4.5MB then started to slow at around 6pm.

To make any informed decision you would need to copy and paste the contents of the Downstream, Upstream, Configuration and Network Log tabs

Also can you please setup a Broadband Quality Monitor (BQM) at thinkbroadband.com. Just click on Create a new monitor.

I do have to ask why ThinkBroadband and not f8lure mouselike or both?
I know a BQM is more know etc.., maybe that why.

The more graphs the better, I think, as they may take different routes over the internet.

Your router stats look fine mate but you have a recurring theme with "DHCP RENEW WARNING" in your network log. Are you using a third party router as this is usually an indication that the router cannot handle DHCP very well?

Also your BQM doesn't look great, have you Checked service status and also called 0800 561 0061 for the most up to date faults information in your area?

Yes I am using an Asus RT-AC86U but have a new router coming a TP Link AX6000 in the next few days I believe.
My issues started about 1 week ago, was running fine till then.

Could the DHPC error be due to turn off and on the router and or hub to reboot it?
My router get bogged down sometimes and affect both local and internet speed.

I check local stats and called the 0800 and no issues

Maybe best to wait on the new router and see how that goes, or in the meantime you could try running the Hub in router mode and see if you're getting the same issues, that way you will know for sure if the router is the problem. Asus is normally pretty good as I use their gear myself, maybe it's just developed a fault of some sort, maybe it needs a re-flash and probably wouldn't be a bad idea to do a pinhole reset on the Hub as well. Hold in the pinhole at the rear of the router for at least 50 seconds and then release (the lights will flash while holding in the pinhole reset button after about 10-15 seconds) then allow 5 minutes for the router to reboot and re-sync the connection then you can fire it back into modem mode 🙂

Yeah turning it off and on will force it to renew DHCP each time.

I have just reset the hub and am now using the hub in router mode till my new router get here.

I have also updated my IP on my BQM, so the same link above will work.
