Upload almost zero, download intermittent

Upload speed nearly zero since Friday November 20, download speed intermittent 10-200. Previous typicals were 200 down, 20 up. No issues reported in service status (but that has not been reliable in the past). Done multiple reboots. Done 60-second pinhole reset. Upstream qam at 16.

Your Upstream power level is above 51db which is too high

And you only have three upstream channels (should be four).

You need to contact VM.

I did wonder where the fourth had gone. What's the best route for contacting VM to pass this on rather than go through the whole "have you turned it off and back on again" process from the start?

You have three options:

  • Wait for a VM staff member to reply on here (Currently 5 - 7 days).
  • Text VM on 07533 051 809.
  • Phone customer services on 0345 454 1111.

Update for anyone interested. Sure enough, it was an SNR issue in our area, although not reported on Service Status website. Estimated fix November 30.

You possibly have an additional fault to the SNR fault, I guess time will tell
