Upgrading from M100 to M200

What is actually involved in upgrading from M100 to M200?

Re: Upgrading from M100 to M200

Call it in and request the change - or do it online in your online account. They then send an upgraded configuration file to the Hub and its done.

Note it will cost more and start a new 12/18 month contract.  You may get a better deal if you negotiate a "new package" with them - depending on what other services you have.

Re: Upgrading from M100 to M200

Thank you jbrennand. My Virgin media page is offering a free upgrade for a one-off fee of £35. Doesn’t say anything about a new contract term.

Any change of package triggers a new contract as far as I know. Someone else will comment but in the meantime search the small print in the T&C's

Re: Upgrading from M100 to M200

Hi BlackSox

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community.

My apologies for the delayed reply and the confusion here.

Does it say what the £35 is for? Normally if it's a free upgrade just in speed, this wouldn't be a new contract

Kind regards,

Re: Upgrading from M100 to M200

Thanks @BlackSox

That is an activation charge for the upgrade - this is due to it being a manual upgrade rather than a free speed boost that is done automatically.

If you select "Select & Upgrade" you'll get more information on if this will re-contact you or not.

Cheers
