I upgraded end November from M50 to M200 but no change to the download speed, have reset my box, have tried even with the ethernet cable and no good
Those numbers suggest you are still on the 50Mb service.
Can you see if My Virginmedia confirms you have been upgraded to the M200 service?
Can you confirm the settings by browsing to 192.168.0.1 and pressing the Check Router Status link, no need to logon.
You should be able to find Network information like the following. What does your say?

Took a little time to find that section but here it is:
As you say looks like i am still on 50mbs, my contract shows 200mb but when I go onto Virgin account it has this:
Doesn't even look like I have broadband !!!
Will have to try to get through to them on the phone, tricky when is 1 hour wait

Yes, I’m sorry that does look like something has gone wrong on your account when the upgrade order was processed.
yes all fixed now -- they had cancelled the new order ! corrected overnight so speeds much better thanks again
