Upgraded speed

I upgraded from the 100Mb package to the 350Mb in January of this year.

After numerous calls with the "technical department" basically telling me to reset my router, I have still yet to ever receive more than 100Mb/s, cable or wifi.

Can anybody please help resolve the issue, as i am now 4 months into this deal and pretty much done with VM.

I am running the hub 3.

thank you in advance.

Re: Upgraded speed

What is the downstream traffic rate on the admin pages, under the configuration tab?

That’s the 350Mbps speed.

How are you Speedtesting?

Re: Upgraded speed

It is generally as it always has been on the 100mb/s package.

That being around 75-90 mb/s download with a 30-40 mb/s upload speed.

One taken just now, which is a little low, but given that VM seem to be having some issues at the minute.

Re: Upgraded speed

What are you testing with?

What device, wired or wireless?

If wired are you using a CAT5e/CAT6/CAT7 cable connected to a gigabit Ethernet port?

Re: Upgraded speed

Ah ha!

You could get a usb-gigabit Ethernet adaptor from Amazon.

Aside from the other obvious solution of getting a new pc/laptop 🙂

Re: Upgraded speed

Ha ha,

I think i have a better chance of winning the adapter argument than getting a new rig!!

Re: Upgraded speed

Take your pick - the AmazonBasics or Anker model will be fine..
