I had some engineers work on Friday, and since then the download & upload speed has been affected. It is genuinely appalling. DL speed is running about half of usual speed but is very inconsistent and upload speed is 1% of its usual. On M100. From 3 recent speed tests, UL speed came out as 0.08 MBPS on average. Connection is also dropping out. This is not a WiFi issue as I connected up with ethernet and the same results occurred. Details below.
Upstream power is too high and there's too many timeout errors on the upstream, that in turn is causing high downstream uncorrected (post-RS) errors because it's messing the communications between the hub and VM's network gear. Luckily that's usually an easy fix for a technician. I've flagged this for the forum staff to advise - unless it is a known area fault already being worked on then they will book a technician visit for you, so you can avoid the joys of VM's dreadful telephone support.
