Terrible performance over the last 36 hours

Hi folks,

I have M600 which since the storms has gone to pot! Now I’m getting an average 8Mb down, 40Mb up.

I’ve reset the router (usually used in modem mode) and even using just Ethernet (Cat6 and 5E in case it matters) to the router with nothing else connected to it has not improved things. Quite a few people in the surrounding streets say they have similar issues so might be an issue in a street cab somewhere?

Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Terrible performance over the last 36 hours

Your Downstream Power Levels are far too low.

This will need an engineer to put right.

You can either call in (08:00 is the best time) or wait on here for a few days (6 to 10 days average) until one of the VM Forum Staff comes along.

If you wait on here Do Not bump the thread it will put it further down the VM 'to do list'.

Re: Terrible performance over the last 36 hours

Thanks for the reply. I tried to call today and have an engineer booked to visit me on Saturday, but as there are other people in the local area complaining I was concerned that there is a problem in a street cab somewhere. Last thing I want is to wait a week, have an engineer visit, only for them to have to book another engineer visit a week later to find/fix a problem that’s not on my property.

Is there a way to get them to test this or do I have to follow the process I’m following?

TIA!

Re: Terrible performance over the last 36 hours

Wait for them to do their bit an Saturday but insist that the engineer stays until the speed and connection has been proved to your satisfaction.
