Superhub 3.0 needs replaced for free VOLT 1Gb O2 benefit

Hi Folks ...

I'm currently on a Superhub 3.0 and M500 Broadband. My Virgin Mobile SIM has now been transferred to O2 (we have 4 VM phones in the household). My understanding is that I am now entitled to a free VOLT Benefit on Broadband, taking me to 1Gb.

How does this happen if you also need a Superhub upgrade? In My O2 I'm getting 'you're seeing this screen as your benefit may already have been applied' page. But my VM account still says I'm on M500. I plan to call O2 about this.

Assuming they activate the VOLT Benefit manually, what happens next?

Whilst the O2 part of VOLT is pretty instant, the VM side can take up to 14 days to "go live".  Once you are confirmed as a 1GB account, you should get a Hub 4 or Hub 5.  You will also be entitled to up to 3 free Wifi Pods if needed.

Hi there @G5amo

Thank you so much for your post and welcome back to the community forums, it's great to have you here.

A big thank you to our community member Adduxi as well for their help so far.

Can I ask when you applied for the Volt deal? As our community has stated it can take up to 14 days for the benefits to come through on our side.

Hi Ashleigh_C and Adduxi ...

Thank you for replying. Events have actually moved on quite quickly since posting ...

I contacted O2 yesterday by phone, and they manually applied the VOLT O2 aspect. Was given Unlimited Mins/Txt and 50Gb on becoming an O2 customer, now boosted to a whopping 100Gb. The call handler was a bit perplexed by the Broadband aspect, but was savvy enough to transfer me to a Virgin Media specialist.

The 2nd call handler confirmed she'd applied the changes and I have indeed now received my confirmation email(s) that a) the VOLT 1Gb upgrade will take place within 14 days b) a new hub is on the way and c) my monthly payment will not change.

Credit where credits due - VOLT didn't happen automatically for me but a little patience on the phone resolved everything.

Thank you so much for popping back to us @G5amo and I am so glad to hear things are better now.

Please do pop back to the forums should you need any help in the future and we will do all we can to assist.
