Speeds keep varying from 1 mbps to 100 mbps

Hi all

Over the last 6-8 months my broadband speeds keeps varying in speed after 3pm it hasn't always done that it's weird cause it last from about 3pm all the way till about midnight every night and ideas why???

My guess is due to congestion in your area.

Does this occur on wired connections?

It does I've got my xbox wired and it's fine during the day , I've had virgin for 3 yes and it's only started this last half a yr

set up a BQM - usually highlights overutilisation issues quite well..

I've tested it through my phone n laptop using ookla speed test and it's the same result the laptop is wireless

As advised above try setting up a BQM by clicking the link and monitor your connection to see if anything obvious is noticeable, once you've set this up share a live direct link.

Also in the meantime we can check your connection, please share the results from the following

Hub Stats:
Open http://192.168.0.1/ or http://192.168.100.1/ (if you have your Hub in Modem mode) in your browser

For Hubs 2 & 3 - DO NOT LOG IN, just click “Check Router Status”

For Hub 4 - When the page appears LOG IN then click on: Advanced Settings > Tools > Network Status.

Please copy and paste the contents of the Downstream, Upstream, Configuration and Network Log tabs in replies here.

If this is your first time you may have to do first setup of hub password.
