I have a music streaming app on my android called iBroadcast. When I'm on my Virgin broadband, I get a maximum download speed of 35KB/s for music in that app (which is unusable). Other apps on the phone are completely fine 200Mb/s.
This does not happen on other connections. Via Vodafone 4G, I get max speed in the iBroadcast app, plus max speed on Sky Broadband at my partner's house.
I contacted the app support and they said they had had a lot of reports of speed issues from Virgin UK users.
This started happening maybe a couple of weeks ago.
How do I get this fixed? There is zero way of contacting Virgin for help via the website as far as I can tell.

Hi charlesrr,
Thanks for posting and welcome to our community 🙂
Sorry to hear you're having some issues with certain apps.
We've not been made aware of any problems with this particular one.
Can you confirm if you've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app?
Is the app up to date?

Hi. The app has been completely purged (data delete) and reinstalled. It's up to date. It's not the app. It's the connection. As soon as I change to a non-virgin network, (SKY broadband or Vodafone Mobile data I've tried), the connection is fine. And as described by the app support, they've been having other people with issues on virgin. In their words: "We have actually had quite a few complaints from Virgin users in the UK. It seems there isn't a good peering between them and us unfortunately".

Hey charlesrr, thank you for confirming this.
As mentioned we aren't aware of any issues with iBroadcast
Please can you also tell me what phone you are on and that you have the latest software update?
Also do you download the music first or do you stream it?
Some sites and services may limit download speeds for different reasons.
Thanks

Hi, it's a Google Pixel 5 on the latest update. I would normally download the music to the phone and then listen to it from the phone. It used to download full speed, but it was taking an eternity to download one song. I couldn't stream it because it played half a second and then buffered for five.
However, yesterday it started downloading fast again. So, whilst the problem wasn't solved, it has gone away.
