Speeds all over the place

Hi. Can anyone give some advice please? My speeds are changing drastically by the minute causing insane lag. One minute it's over 500mb, the next it's below 100mb and it's constant.

Re: Speeds all over the place

Some of your download stream power levels are too high. You will need an engineer visit to put this right. Best to ring VM on or just after 8am on 0345 454 1111 or alternatively you can wait here for a Virgin staff member to pick it up, but unfortunately this will typically be between 5-10 days, sometimes sooner, sometimes later depending on how busy they are 🙂

Re: Speeds all over the place

Hi @antwigan

Thanks for posting and my apologies for the broadband speeds.

I've checked and several of your downstream channels are indeed out of spec.

This does indeed require a technician visit which I have booked in for the first available visit and you can track this here

Please do let us know how the visit goes

Kind regards,

Re: Speeds all over the place

But this relatively minor issue is unlikely to be responsible for the problem you have reported.  Make sure that explain the actual issue to the engineer when they arrive.
