Hi, I have now been connected, is it the usual thing before getting the top speed like other ISPs they run tests to make sure you get the speed in your plan which takes a few days. Or should I be getting the speed for my plan which is M125, because looking in my account the speed i should be getting is 132 mbps it is only 92mbps.
Thanks if anyone has had this issue.

Hi,thank you for your help, you could be right with my ethernet cables, i have them going to my android tv and one to the xbox, i have been using Ookla to run a speed test from my android tv. Would you recommend i purchased some new cables?. I'm sure they are cat5 so must be out of date for the speeds now.
Thanks again for you help.

This site should show full speed to your HUB from day 1:

Unlike some other connection types, once connected to VM’s broadband provision, you get the full speed immediately, there is no ‘training’ period. 92 Mb/s is very suggestive of an Ethernet connection working at only 100 Mb/s rather than gigabit speed and hence throttling the connection. So what exactly is your setup, on what device are you measuring the speed and how is it connected?

Get new Cat6a cables and see if that solves it.

Hi, clicked the link and shows Virgin Media Hub 136mbps and desktop 138mbps. when use Ookla through my android tv it shows a speed of 94mbps. I think Vinegar may well be right with the ethernet cables i have which are not up to the job, they were ok with my last ISP as my speed then was only 64mbps.

Your TV will have a 10/100 ethernet port, so the speed is as expected (Around 90 - 95Mbps).
Wireless will connect at a higher speed than a 10/100 ethernet port.

Thanks, So may as well run wifi, if the speeds are better than a cable.
Thank you all for helping me get it sorted.
