Speed issues and packet loss

Hi,

I currently have the M350 broadband package and have been having lots of issues with Virgin for the past 9 months or so.

Long story short I have had the cable running to the house replaced but have recently started getting slower than normal speeds and 4-6% packet loss in the evening. 
It making it difficult to do any online gaming with the packet loss.

I'm plugged into 1gig switch over Cat5e

I've tried calling Virgin but as I work during the day I have to call at night, I just spent over an hour on hold waiting to speak to someone then got cut off.

Any help would be appreciated
