Speed increase without new contract.

So I’m 8 months into a 18 months contract and want to go go from 125mb to 250mb after seeing this advertised on my sign in page for an extra £5 per month which I thought is very reasonable.

So after phoning upgrades they can’t offer the £5 speed boost to 250mb and instead want to charge me a further £20 to do this. Of course I’m not doing this.

They also want me to recontract to a new 18 month contract. No chance! I would never re contract mid term with no good deals coming forward in the rest of the package.

So I would only ever recontract to a new 18 month contact when speaking to the outward bound retentions team as they are the only ones who have decent offers. No other department in the last 10 years have been able to give me a deal anywhere near what they offer.

So Virgin, which way is it going to be, be nice and accommodating now and I’ll remember this when you want me to recontract next year or do you want to be as didficukt as possible and I will also remember that next year when your wanting me to sign up with you again?

please do the right thing as I’m just trying to give you extra money without you taking advantage of me.

If this too much for you to do you could always release me from my contract without any termination fees or costs and I could go elsewhere. The ball really is in your court.

Do you really need the extra upgrade??

I started on M100 over 4 years ago and gradually upgraded to M350 and now back to M125. Yes you will get about 270Mbs down but whats more important is reliable and consistent speed.

But if you really want to upgrade you should be able to upgrade via your online accout..these are the options I get online.

You should get same upgrade option if you click "upgrade my speed" or "change your package"
