Speed drop Ultimate oomph

Hi Everyone,

Had noticed that the speed of our broadband was running slow, done speed tests over the past 24hrs wired and through wifi, tried modem reboot all with no luck. Speed seems to now max out at 250mbps. Upload seems ok, always a steady 37mbps.

I've included screenshots of the modem connection info.

Any help would be great,

Thank you.

Re: Speed drop Ultimate oomph

Hi

The figures posted so far look to be within spec.  You have only posted the first half of the downstream figures, if you could also post the second half that shows Pre and Post RS errors etc that might show something.

I have had to reject your network log image as it contained MAC addresses which is not allowed on the forum to protect your privacy.  The logs were showing some errors from the 14th that could indicate an issue but nothing more recent.  Usually best to copy and paste the network log as it will then be auto censored by the forum to remove MAC and IP addresses.

Hi Scott,

I did try and create the post by only copying and pasting the information nation but everytime I done that it wouldn’t let the post submit and even though it said it had highlighted the errors it didn’t 😞

If you click "Post" or "Preview" again after it highlights errors it should "fix" the issue and let you continue.

EDIT - Looks like you got it working 😀

Re: Speed drop Ultimate oomph

The rest of the downstream figures look OK and nothing untoward in the logs since the 14th.

Nothing obvious in the hub stats to explain the slowdown in your speeds.  Hopefully the VM forum team will be able to see something from their end when they get to this thread and run some checks.

Re: Speed drop Ultimate oomph

I'd recommend whenever this happens to first give a Hub reboot a shot and see how it goes after it. Usually that resolves most issues, although glad it seems to be working as expected again now 🙂
